June 2025. Unfettered capitalism did not bring about a better world as imagined. Instead the clamour for individual wealth has stripped the world of its natural resources and destroyed the environment. In the reclusive country of Sairis the severity of the problems had forced the government to seek external assistance to rehabilitate the country’s air, water and soil conditions. However, the only qualified companies willing to assist in this massive undertaking are from the countries Roq and Ceitnar. Both countries are engaged in long standing, hostile trade disputes with Sairis.
The desperate situation has created an opportunity for a few individuals to exploit the political paranoia in Sairis. Thorid, a wealthy Sairisite businessman, instead proposes to engage a team from Urt, one of the few political allies of Sairis although the Urtians are not an environmentally conscious nation. The Urtian team besides being less than competent and highly corrupt, is internally divided in a power struggle to gain control of this multi-million Kr project.
As the story unfolds, the sleaze turns into murder, blackmail and even witchcraft threatening at every twist and turn to unravel a massive corruption scheme to cheat an entire nation of its future.
